If you’re looking for a relaxing, picturesque (and definitely Instagram-worthy) place to unwind be sure to check out Cape Cod Winery! It’s a perfect place to spend the afternoon with your family, a group of girls, or even a date.
Located in East Falmouth, Cape Cod Winery is a small family-owned vineyard with a big outdoor space. There is both covered (a large tent) and uncovered outdoor space so you can choose whether you want to bask in the sun or relax in the shade.
The winery produces and serves around 9 varieties of wine including classics like Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, fruit wines like Blueberry and Cranberry Blush, sparkling wines, and their famous Mermaid Water Rosé. The mermaid has become the winery’s logo and it is whimsically decorated in a mermaid and nautical theme.
Besides getting a glass of one of the wines, the bar at the winery also serves fun things like “frosé” (basically a wine slushy), sangria, and flights. If you’re feeling snacky they have several charcuterie options and a very Cape Cod lobster dip to snack on. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks.
The winery is very kid-friendly and (leashed) dog-friendly, so bring the whole family! There are several games like Jenga and Connect Four around the seating areas to keep kids (or adults) occupied. They also have frequent live music and food trucks on-site (you can check their events calendar to find out when), as well as ticketed events such as paint-and-sips and yoga.
The winery has a small gift shop where you can buy their wines, along with gift items and lots of different apparel sporting their cute mermaid logos.
During the summer season, the winery is open every day except Tuesdays. Hours vary (and are more limited in the off-season) so it’s best to check their website for updates. Tables are first-come, first-serve. It can get busy on summer weekends, so arrive early! If there is a wait, there is a 2-hour limit per table.
