Cinnamon’s Bakery is the sweetest shop in town!

Let me tell you something about me, and yes, it relates to this glorious bakery. I am not a morning person, and that’s an understatement. But I am a travel writer, so I try to do my homework….at least some of the time. Well, my reading on Cinnamon’s Bakery told me that to enjoy their delicious treats, we would have to, gasp, arrive at the bakery pretty early. Ugh.

However, I can tell you that dragging my night-owl-self out of the comfy hotel bed, with two littles in tow, was definitely worth the effort. Cinnamons is the real deal. Everything they bake is fresh, beautiful, and tasty. I do consider this a must-see stop in Estes Park. And yes, you will have to get there early before they sell out of their most popular menu items.

The “bun-off" has become our new family tradition. We go to a bakery and I buy one of each type of sweet roll or cinnamon bun and we cut them into pieces. Each family member gets to try a different kind of bun. After the tasting, we vote for our favorite. Cinnamon's was an excellent place for a bun-off. They had caramel rolls, cinnamon rolls, berry rolls, and cinnamon rolls with frosting. Their famous blueberry muffins are also to die for, as is their freshly brewed Kind coffee.

Which was crowned the winner, you might ask? For our family, it was the cinnamon rolls with frosting, but you’ll have to host your own family bun-off to see which wins your prize.

I highly recommend a visit to Cinnamon’s Bakery. After picking out some sweet treats here, head just down the road to the spectacularly beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park.
