Grant Coffee shop is a cozy, family-owned coffee shop with toys and yummy treats!

We stumbled upon this community-focused coffee shop after playing at nearby Goyne Park.  We wanted something quick and delicious. Mama wanted a pick-me-up. Now, Grant Coffee is one of our favorite places!

The spacious coffee shop has plenty of seating: couches, oversized armchairs, tables for groups. However, my kids prefer to sit in front of the fireplace.  There is a remote starter that patrons are invited to use, but of course, watch your children closely.  Your kids will be delighted to find several toys in this area!  My son loves the wooden blocks and trucks.  He makes bridges, tunnels, and construction sites with these clean and open-ended toys!  There are not tons of toys, but enough to keep your children occupied.  When we visit, typically during the weekdays, there have never been any other children; but, I always preface a visit by telling my kids that the rule at the coffee shop is you must share the toys.

My kids always go for the donuts at the bakery, and I always opt for their house blend coffee; it is so good! In addition, we love to grab a few pumpkin muffins to take home during the fall and enjoy them at home throughout the week.  The staff is so kind and will be patient as your kids make that super hard choice of which flavor donut to choose!  In addition to the kind staff, we love how focused this family-owned shop is on giving back to the community!  They often offer discounts or free items to school bus drivers, veterans, and public service employees.  Also, local organizations, like Bible Study groups, hold their meetings at the coffee shop with no facility usage fees.

To support this small, local business, we love to purchase their coffee and t-shirts as gifts for family and friends.  All of these items are near the cash register.  Grant Coffee is located in Chester Village, nestled between a few other small businesses.  We prefer to park between the coffee shop and Chester Library, a branch of Chesterfield County Library.  After playing at the coffee shop and enjoying our refreshments, we walk to the library, where they have a large children's section and frequently offer Story Walks around the building!
