Harper's Playground at Arbor Lodge Park is a big, popular playground with a sand play area, climbing features, swings and a slide.

Harper's Playground is one of the most popular playgrounds we've ever been to. There's a good reason why! There is a lot of room for kids to move around between the different playground features. And, much of the playground equipment is ADA accessible for kids of all abilities. It is a community gathering space for families to socialize and play.

The playground has accessible swings and activities for kids with hearing and visual impairments. There are many wheelchair and walker-friendly elements integrated into the play equipment such as two universally-accessible adaptive swings.  Features include an elevated sand table with a water pump and water play table, a xylophone, climbing walls of different challenge levels, an accessible unitary astroturf play surfaced hill with slide and climbing net, noodle swing, omni-spin, universally-accessible adaptive swings seats along with standard and infant swing seats, and new sea turtle bronze sculptures. There is also a large sand area with a rock for climbing and toys left for all to play with, even if you forgot your own.

Some of the street parking has designated ADA parking spaces and the pathway to the play area is a 300-foot paved path, perfect for anyone with mobility issues. Other important ADA-accessible amenities include the accessible restroom, accessible drinking fountains and accessible picnic table.

This is the perfect playground to bring all your family and friends to and everyone can play together!

I moved from Northern California to Oregon in 2021. I have three girls, ages 5, 3, and 1. I was an elementary school teacher before I became a full time adventuring mama. My husband and I are foodies and we live in the forest. We enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest.
