Enjoy this brand new, state of the art playground in Central Chesterfield at Harry G. Daniel Park at Ironbridge.

Harry G. Daniel Park at Ironbridge just got a new (and beautiful) playground! The colorful and vibrant play space is very welcoming to all who visit. When you arrive at the park, you will park in the lot in front of the playground. Be sure to check out the Little Free Library near the parking lot as you enter or leave! My kids love bringing books to donate to these Little Free Libraries in our area.

The playground has a large play structure with three slides. One of the slides is quite high - my 4 year old loved it, but you will definitely want to keep a close eye on toddlers who climb up here. Also within the play structure is a panel of gears to spin, as well as a puzzle. The climbing ropes are fun too, but again, this is an activity for older children.

There is also a spinner that can sit 2 or even 3 small children. My kids loved this! A large climbing wall that leads to a huge net/web is across from the large play structure. If your kiddo can make it, there is a little cube to sit on at the center of the net. There are four big kid swings and two baby swings adjacent to the play area. There are two benches within sight of the playground, as well as two picnic tables.

On very hot or sunny days, there is a covered pavilion that would be ideal for taking a snack break. If your child is a new bike rider, consider bringing it so they can practice on the paved path directly in front of the playground. It is pretty short, but very smooth and flat, making it a great option for a newbie bike or scooter rider. The park also has sand volleyball courts, baseball and soccer fields and tennis courts for families to enjoy. The nearest restroom is located between the two baseball fields near the playground. When you're all done playing, consider heading to Central Library, five minutes away, to enjoy the large Children's Section.
