A great spot to run around on the playground, exercise and enjoy views of the city.

Jefferson Park is situated at the top of a hill in the Union Hill neighborhood and oh my, the views are worth the trip.  The park has two great playgrounds with modern equipment with one designed as a train for the kiddos.  There are expansive flat areas to play frisbee or ideal for picnics and even a birthday party.  There are spacious restrooms with benches that can be used to change your baby.   There are many large trees located at the perimeter of the park that provide shade and additional benches for relaxing or picnicking while the kids play.  There are two horseshoe pits as well for older children.

The perimeter of the park has paved paths with benches to sit and take in views of the city skyline or even better, catch a sunset in the summertime. These paths can be used to scoot or bike around for young children. Additional bonus – there are steps at the edge of the park that lead down a paved recessed path with world-class fitness equipment to include outdoor elliptical machines.  We had a lot of fun trying out the equipment which leads to lots of laughter! 

You drive through a neighborhood to access the park and there is plenty of street parking.
