Burn some energy at this fun and creative playground that is aptly named Kidsburg, located in VeteransPark.

With a vast multitowered play structure that weaves in and out with slides of practically every level, including side by side slides for racing, this playground is sure to pull oohs and aahs out of your little ones upon arrival. There is a full-sized cannon to get their Peter Pan-inspired imaginations to run wild, and this playground certainly encourages interactive play in every way. Aside from the massive pirate ship, there is a little dingy and a large "cliff" to climb so there are dozens of ways to create a game or storyline to accompany play.  There is also a tire swing, which the kids always get so excited about,

There is an awesome zipline for the bigger kids, and baby swings for the littles ones, so every age group was considered in the design of this playground, including the adults as comfortable shaded benches and picnic tables surround the play area. There are even umbrellas!

There are restrooms available within Veterans Park, and ample green space for having a catch or even flying a kite throughout the park. There are walking trails, a tennis court and plenty of free parking. People we ran into there also mentioned that they love going in the evening when it is lighted at certain times. The playground is popular, but we have had great luck not visiting at times that are overcrowded.

Make time for a stop here when in the area and are looking for a place to have a picnic, or if you're just passing through from the beach it's a great way to break up the trip home and add one more element of fun to your adventure!
