Kiwanis features a sunny playground complete with unique features!

Kids of all ages are sure to love Kiwanis Park in Williamsburg! Our crew loves the soft, rubber turf surface. As my son says, "it's cooshy under my feet"!  The playground is great for babies to tweens because of all the options.  There are baby swings, big kid swings, and two adaptive swings with back support and buckles.

There is a merry-go-round with a climbing net around it. My daughter (8) loved climbing around while we spun the merry-go-round, while my son (4) much prefered sitting or laying down. Because of the netting around the merry-go-round, this apparatus is very safe, even for little ones.

There are two large play structures.  The smaller one is for the youngest visitors, while the larger structure is best for early elementary age and older.  The larger structure has two slides, not directly beside one another.  My kiddos loved "racing" down the slides, and timing each other to see who could get down each one faster.  This structure also has a climbing net that my son called his "spider climber" because of its shape.

The highlight of this park for my children was the zipline. It's one of the longest zip lines we've seen! It is a simple, round seat with a rope. My 8-year-old loved it, but my 4-year-old was a bit more apprehensive with not being buckled in. Caregivers could ride the zip line with a child on their lap.

There is a bench right near this play structure where you can see nearly the entire playground. This is where we placed our bags and snacks. Alternatively, there is a large picnic pavilion by the parking lot, at the front of the playground. This would be ideal for a hot, sunny day picnic spot, or to cool off. This park is in direct sun, so be sure to pack sunscreen.

Restrooms are in the small building near the baseball field. It's walkable from the playground to the restrooms. There are also tennis courts at the park, so bring your racket if your crew is into tennis!
