McDevitt Recreation Center and Playground in East Falls will have your children splashing and having fun. 

One of the greatest aspects of the McDevitt Recreation Center and Playground is the splash pad in the summertime.  As early as 9am the splash pad can be seen spraying water throughout it’s different spray structures once you hit the green button that can be found along the brick wall.  You will find children all summer long laughing and smiling while they splash and cool off at the spray pad. I would suggest bringing water shoes though as the ground is cement. 

The two separate playground structures for all different ages proves to be great entertainment as well.  Be careful on very hot days though as the slides are metal and could be quite hot on bare kids skin.  There are swings and bucket swings for all different ages to enjoy them.  One thing to love about the playground area is that it is rubber flooring.

There are benches and a couple of picnic tables to enjoy a snack or lunch. With two baseball diamonds that also acts as a soccer field for kids during the soccer season, you can easily bring a blanket to have a picnic out on the grass.

During your visit you will see residents giving their dogs some leisure time in the old tennis courts that are completely fenced in.  I suggest you do not count on accessibility to the restrooms in the recreation center, as they are only open during business hours which cannot be found online.
