Memorial Park is a beautiful spot full of trees, open space, and river views.

Memorial Park is the third oldest park in Jacksonville and sits in the heart of the Five Points area of Jacksonville’s Riverside neighborhood. It was built shortly after WWI to honor the Floridians who died in combat. Today, it sits as an anchor of the Riverside neighborhood and provides a peaceful reprieve from the bustling Five Points district. While it does not have any traditional play structures, there is a large open field, fountain, and paths along the river that give kids ample space to run around and play. There are often kids and adults alike playing in the fields, using slacklines, flying kites, or fishing. There is plenty of shade and benches throughout the park and it makes for a perfect picnic spot. The park was badly damaged in Hurricane Irma and is still undergoing repairs along its riverfront.
