A children's paradise awaits at Pufferbellies Toys & Books, with games, puzzles, stuffies, and much more!

Before our Staunton visit, many people recommended we visit Pufferbellies Toys & Books with our children, ages 3 and 7. We stopped during our last day in Staunton and are so glad we did! For reference, we walked through Woodrow Park before visiting Pufferbellies. Woodrow Park is less than five minutes away. Pufferbellies is near several restaurants, so you could also add dining before or after your toy shopping.

We loved the kind owners, a former children's librarian and young mom, who greeted us and helped guide my children through the store. I recommend setting a price limit for your children prior to entering. For example, we told my daughter she could choose a toy that was less than $20, and Erin, one of the owners, helped her find something within her budget and also fit her interests. {She ended up with the softest stuffed kitty.} The store is laid out with age categories, so it's easy to keep your children in the right area for their age/level.

If your children are "too old" for toys, there are also tons of board games and puzzles, too. If the store doesn't have something your child wants, you can order online and have them shipped to you. The store's website is updated frequently with "new arrivals", so if your child is going to be overwhelmed with deciding, perhaps peruse the website first to get ideas.
