A park that is conveniently located and fun for all ages.

Endless Fun with Multiple Playground Structures, Cool Swings and a Grassy Field.

A short 1.5 mile trip from the plethora of food options on San Vicente in Brentwood, is this recreation center complete with playgrounds, tennis courts, soccer fields and grassy play areas.  Sure to keep kids entertained longer than the normal playground due to its variety of play structures, including swings that zip down a line, two built-in sandpit scoopers, baby swings, big kid swings, and a seesaw. There are five playground structures in general and a path that weaves in between them, perfect for scooters. Included in the recreation center is also a dog park and a turf field! All free and accessible to the public. Unfortunately, the basketball hoops are closed due to COVID.

The parking situation will save you years of your life with a stress-free spacious lot of four-hour free parking. The bathrooms are right next to the playground. They're closed on Sundays but there are porta-johns next to the tennis courts that are open every day.

Historically, Aidan’s Place was only the second fully-accessible playground in the U.S! It was specifically built to be accessible to all bodies, abled and disabled thanks to the Gaffney family.

My Location
Hannah Menakaya grew up in New Hampshire, eventually leaving to go to school in DC at Georgetown University. She developed her passion for traveling when she spent a semester abroad in Cape Town, South Africa. While there she explored the beautiful landscape and wildlife of the country and ventured into neighboring countries such as Botswana and Zimbabwe. Upon graduation, Hannah spent a year teaching English in Spain and traveling whenever she could. The highlight of her jet setting career was living on a boat in Mykonos, Greece, and sleeping in the Sahara desert in Morocco. Since then, Hannah landed in Los Angeles where she pursues her ultimate passion - storytelling. While she seeks to tell stories from those in the margins, she finds time to get outside and remember the serenity of nature amidst the Hollywood hustle. Feeling the sand, seeing the birds, and listening to the waves are her ideas of balance and harmony. If you ask her, she’s a professional wellness seeker, smoothie bowl artista and part-mermaid… but according to LinkedIn, she works for the production company that made Queer Eye.
