Upper Providence Township brings the community together with their state-of-the-art community center, playground & amphitheater!

Despite being referred to as a farm, there are no animals at this park, but there is plenty to catch the attention of kids and parents alike. Two playgrounds are available, one designed for children aged 2-5 and the other for bigger kids between 5 and 12.  The playground architects were wise because there is a mulch surface under one playground, but a soft surface with no mulch under the playground for little ones, which is very helpful for parents and caregivers that have toddlers that tend to put everything in their mouths!

There is also a walking path and ample room for your child’s imagination to run wild (no, but seriously, lots and lots of space to run wild!) just across the bridge. The Anderson Farm Park Loop is a 1.3-mile path that goes through the playground. Not only is it a nice spot to walk, it provides interactive chalk art which is a great surprise for everyone!  The silo is the home to well-maintained restrooms, which make it great when traveling with potty training toddlers or to enable you to extend your stay! The park has some shade canopies in place but would recommend a hat or sunscreen on hot sunny days. There is one picnic table at the playground and a nice ledge surrounding the playground to sit on, but in case it gets busy, a picnic blanket would be a great addition! If you decide to venture away from the playground, the open space is a great spot to find yourself. The views are great, the space is perfect to bring a frisbee, kite or to just burn off some energy!

There is no natural shade at the playground, so come prepared with sunscreen and hats. There is a large umbrella alongside the play structure but the provided shade is not ample.

Anderson Farm Park brings plenty of outdoor adventure options, but if you are looking for more, be sure to check out the Upper Providence Township website to learn more about their membership options and check out the event calendar to learn about activities available at the Community Center!

Having lived in Fishtown, on South Street and a few places in between, she really started to feel like home when she moved to Conshohocken. Fast forward a few years, Natasha now resides in Collegeville (Philadelphia suburb) with her husband, 4 year old boy/girl twins and their 130lb Rottweiler. She has been soaking in her new role as a stay at home mom and loves having the chance to explore and discover with her kids! When she is not planning their next adventure, Natasha is enjoying an audible book or practicing her hand lettering! Natasha never misses an opportunity to “sell” her friends and family on places and things she loves and hopes she can continue this with Happyly!
