A new and unique playground that will brighten every kiddos day!

Annandale Community Park features a brand new butterfly-themed playground with many unique features not found anywhere else! The large play structure geared towards ages 5-12 has multiple slides, tunnels, and a butterfly ladder. The toddler section has a smaller slide and little ones reach the slide by scrambling up a frog. A large ant to climb, a caterpillar, a chrysalis tunnel, and more butterflies make this playground such a fun destination!

The playground has a pavilion with restrooms nearby as well as covered picnic tables and seating. There are more picnic tables in the shade of large trees up the hill as well as two regular swings. The park also features tennis courts, sports fields and nature trails leading to Hidden Oaks Nature Center. The trails are not stroller-friendly but once you are up the hill the walk is fairly easy even for toddlers. The nature trails have some interactive features such as guessing which woodland animal makes what type of track and some other nature facts! Our children had fun making their guesses and then finding out if they were correct! In the fall the trail was covered in a thick layer of oak leaves that were fun to crunch and the abundant oak trees provide great shade on the trails in the summer time!

Annandale Community Park has plenty of parking and there is shade on the trails but the playground is in full sun. Bring hats on a sunny day!

Breeze Bakery Cafe is right around the corner from Annandale Community Park for a treat stop!
