It has been over fifteen years since I first visited this triangular piece of heaven.  My eldest child was just a few months old, but pushing the stroller around the city was essential for both of us. I came across this park, a three-way intersection created this triangular piece of land, but some genius saw the potential.

A beautifully crafted brick wall surrounds this space, interrupted only by scrolling black wrought iron gates of a style that gives Ashbury Triangle Park a bit of a “Secret Garden” feel.  Once you enter one of the three gates (which is one step higher than the sidewalk) a quiet envelopes you and your little ones that will make you feel lighter and kids feel free to toddle, swing, climb, or even curl up on a bench under a large tree for an impromptu storytime.

My kids have grown, but the park has retained its magic. This park is just one of many spots in the Fan that become part of a family’s story. It is a perfect spot to meet friends, spread a blanket and let little ones explore. The gates keep kiddos in and fidos out, which means you won’t have to worry about anyone stepping in anything other than mulch, grass, and leaves!
