Aunt Sandy's on the Keanae Peninsula is an essential stop on the Road to Hana - you will get the most beautiful views and breakfast to enjoy with it!

You're on the Road to Hana - and I hope you started early because this will take you all day. But now you're hungry and craving something from one of the shacks you've passed. So if that's the case, this is the turn you want to take!

The Keanae Peninsula is at mile marker 16 on the drive, and if you haven't stopped yet, make it a point to stop here! We got to a very early start, and after getting coffee and snacks to wake us up, we wanted something to properly fuel our adventure. So this was our first stop on the Road to Hana, and it was well worth it. We were told that the banana bread is baked fresh daily and that it runs out quickly, so we made sure to make it here soon!

Once you get off the exit for the peninsula, follow Keanae Road and you'll run into some beautiful coastal shoreline and a little house opposite. That is Aunt Sandy's, and in addition to her famous banana bread, she offers a few other goodies to take. We opted for the fresh banana bread, still warm, and made our way to the shores to enjoy the quiet morning. Coming early assured us that we could get our hands on some of Maui's best banana bread and have a moment of complete bliss, enjoying this paradise and relishing in the parts of this trip that felt so authentic.

The venue is walk-up only, so it's not a place to linger - unless you're shopping! If you can, pack yourself a coffee, a picnic blanket, and enjoy a quiet moment to relax across the way. We optimized our experience with the stillness of it all, as it quickly got busy behind us. This became more than just a food pit stop, but a moment that defined what a trip to Hawaii should be - authenic, relaxed, and full of memories!
