This is a fun little bakery right at the section of 8th Avenue just past much of the traffic, right across the street from Reservoir Park. The sweets are yummy, the portions are HUGE, and the employees are kind and very organized.
They do a really nice job with custom cake orders, simply tell them what you have in mind and they'll take it from there but be advised that for all custom cake orders as well as bulk advance orders you should call the shop at (615) 933-1100 rather than through the online ordering system.
The cinnamon rolls are my family's favorite! But all the cookies, cakes and pies are yummy too! They also have a fun variety of treat bars and pop tarts, muffins, sweet breads (banana bread, yummy), scones and some really fun merchandise for birthday decor and celebration items like candles.They also have coffee!!
Baked on 8th does lovely wedding cakes, and tastings are available for a non-refundable appointment fee of $20 for 2-3 people only. Call ahead for an appointment time. (Tasting appointments are available Monday through Thursday).
Before you leave, take a picture in front of the very large "Life Can Be Sweet" mural on the side of the building!
