If you’re staying at Hole in the Wall Campground, Barber Peak Loop is another nearby trail to explore. This 5.6-mile loop hike has 754 feet of elevation gain and will involve some rock scrambling in a few places. Obviously, little legs will be slower moving on sections of this so it might be better off left to the older crowd or come prepared with a sturdy backpack.
You can also hike this trail as an out and back if you only plan to do some of it. Expect to see wildflowers, cacti, and rock formations along this ever-changing landscape.
