A great addition to an afternoon in Solana Beach!

The award-winning Fletcher Cove Beach Park is a quiet area hidden along the coast in the middle of the artful Solana Beach. This park is nicknamed "Pillbox" because back in WWII the area used to be a Gunnery installation. Being the main park in the City of Solana Beach, it boasts a wide variety of activities for all ages all while getting a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. Here you can play on the playground with multiple slides, a rock-climbing wall, an underside kitchen and swings. You can play basketball on their half-court, play on their grass area or head down to the beach for surfing, surf-fishing, swimming, body-boarding, jogging, and walking!

This Park also has a parking lot, ample street parking, bathrooms, and a lifeguard station that is on duty year-round. Its proximity to the Coaster and Amtrak rail lines makes it an easy access spot for all visitors.

Looking for something to eat? Walk across the street to Naked Cafe for some delicious food, head up to the 101 for the famous Pizza Port, grab some tasty ice cream at Yogurt 101, or even start your day with local favorite coffee at Lofty Coffee.
