Situated on 1,700 acres, this urban park feels quieter and more removed from city life despite being only 12 minutes north of Nashville. Though it lacks the overwhelming vistas of nearby spaces, Beaman Park is well-shaded courtesy of the beautiful trees and foliage and provides access to creeks perfecting for splashing in (at least if you’re a kid!). My family and I love the Henry Hollow Loop, which runs about two miles with 285 feet of elevation. This loop can be accessed from either parking lot. Leashed dogs are welcome, but be aware the trails are narrow and there are some steep drop-offs so you have to be careful with dogs and kids while passing people.
