Wayzata has long been home to really great restaurants with excellent food, and Benedict's of Wayzata is no exception.

This place was really impressive. So, Wayzata is a super upscale suburb in the west metro and offers a really nice downtown for strolling and relaxing. We love heading to Wayzata for some playtime at a local playground, and for the occasional summer ice cream cone. The downtown sits on the waterfront of famous Lake Minnetonka, and it's certainly a scenic sight any time of year.

We had never been to Benedict's before, and both the girls and I were really pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is really nicely located in the heart of downtown, upscale Wayzata, and parking was easy. The restaurant itself was well-kept and clean, and the menus had wonderful offerings. I was especially impressed with the kids' menu which was so fun, and also so reasonably priced. The girls were super thrilled to get bear pancakes! Honestly, I know it may be a little thing, but the girls were so excited to get their special pancakes, and they literally talked about them all day long after that. It was something really special for them, and that made me so happy. The kids' menu items were around the five dollar price point, and I felt this was a really excellent deal.

The service was excellent, and the food tasted like the ingredients were extremely fresh, which always feels really good when you're feeding your family. The adorable bear pancakes came with a generous side of fresh fruit, and both girls and momma were happy. I highly recommend taking your food from Benedict's to go and heading over to Wayzata Park Beach for some fun along the lakeside.
