A delightful treat conveniently located in the heart of Shilrlington's business district.

Best Buns makes the most amazing breakfast sandwiches, icebox bread with eggs and cheese, sausage and bacon. Their variety of sweet pastries and savory breakfasts will provide something for everyone and everything is scrumptious. It's take-out style with tables outside for nice days or you can use the seating in the Carlyle during breakfast hours. They also serve Starbucks coffee and teas as well as fresh brewed iced tea and lemonade. 

The fresh-baked bread is lovely as well. I appreciate the positivity and kindness of the team and the energy of this special cafe. Despite moving years ago, we still always come back to this incredible place every trip to enjoy the food and environment. 

Their menu is quite large and you are sure to find something that everyone will love! The breakfast sandwiches are classic and hearty and have the best names! Try the Willing-No-Ham for a bacon, egg, and cheese on toasted icebox bread, or go for a slightly healthier option with turkey bacon, or order their steel cut oatmeal! 

For lunch they have great soups and salds. The mango pecan roast chicken salad is refreshing and yummy, and the penne pasta salad with grilled veggies is delicious! Try the lobster roll when it is available on Fridays, or get Mike's Fav with ham, havarti, dijon, and pickles on rosemary bread...yum!

If you're looking for something to do in Shirlington afterward, the Arlington Public Library Shirlington branch is close by and has great childrens programing. Long Branch Nature Center is also only ten minutes away! Your kids will love the animal exhibits there and your breakfast at Best Buns will power you through their short hikes.
