When in the downtown area of Leavenworth, there are a few different ways to enter this trail. This trail is wonderful family friendly trail that leads you along the Wenatchee River, over bridges and through the woods. You and your family will feel like you are in the middle of the forest, but really you are only 2 minutes away from town. There are so many trail options you can take and it they take you over bridges and around Blackbird Island. You can follow any trail and not get lost, there are loops and out and backs with maps to help you along the way. This is a great nature walk for walking out of your hotel room and going for a quick walk by yourself before anyone else is awake, or one with the whole family to walk off the big breakfast you all just ate. There are great places to walk right up to the river and skip a few rocks or take a dip during the summer! This trail has no elevation gain, its dog on leash friendly, and stroller friendly. There are bathrooms throughout the trails that are open for the majority of the seasons, and two playgrounds, one on each end of the park. The two parks are called Enchantment Park and Riverfront Park. Search Playgrounds to hear more about those!
