BLU is the restaurant at the beach access / base of ‘The Tides’ Inn. It’s right off the beach and it made a great place to catch a break from the sun, rest in the shade, enjoy the view, and get a bite to eat. There are tables both indoors and out and the waitstaff was friendly and patient with our children. The kids menu is standard – pizza, chicken nuggets, sliders, mac-n-cheese – and priced about $6-7 / child. The regular menu was great – my husband and I split the tuna and calamari. Shirts, shorts, and shoes are required, but the atmosphere is casual and laid back. My husband wore his swimtrunks and our girls ran after the birds while we waited for food. The flowers and resulting butterflies were gorgeous distractions.
