A beautiful, public garden in the heart of the city.
Right in the heart of Boston is this wonderful garden! It's the perfect place to wander around – on foot or scooter – and explore the many winding pathways. The gardens offer a variety of flowers and trees to see (and identify for the young botanist in your life), and the water is often abuzz with ducks and swans swimming around. My kids especially love to stop and visit the Make Way for Ducklings statues, made famous by Robert McCloskey's 1941 book.
Swan boats – a must! – are available to rent in the summer and provide a lovely change of view.
