I was blown away by the size and sheer beauty of this gorgeous nature park.

I can't believe I never knew this amazing park was here! So, this unbelievable nature area is located in Edina, and bordering Minneapolis, as a Tier 1 suburb. When I say it's in a Tier 1 suburb, I mean Edina is in the very first 'ring' of suburbs around Minneapolis. So, you're close to the city, and convenient to pretty much everything, but in Bredesen Park, you feel light years away from the hustle and bustle. In many ways, it's the ideal combo.

This pretty park boasts 206 acres of natural beauty. The hiking and biking trails here are top-notch, and are definitely flat enough to be stroller-friendly. This is obviously a huge bonus for busy moms and caregivers. There are heated, year-round restrooms here, which is also a huge, huge benefit here in the snowy north.

This park offers three loop trails, of different varieties. The outer two loops each total about 2 miles, and one is designated for bikes, while the other is for pedestrians. The outermost loop also connects to the gorgeous Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail, which is a huge benefit. The innermost loop runs through a nature area, and is an unpaved loop. There's so much to explore here! The trails are maintained meticulously here, so you won't find anything less than excellent trails here, no matter the weather.
