A playground designed for the adventurous!

Crockett Park is a large park with expansive facilities. While you can enjoy it for its scenic bike path and nature trails, or the variety of ball fields and green areas, we most love it for its playgrounds. The highlight for us, specifically, is The Brentwood Community Playground. This wooden castle-shaped playground is situated at the center of the park. It's a large playground with a variety of distinct equipment, including a maze-like playing structure, slides, ladders, zipline, swings, and more. There is also a tire swing, which is usually a crowd-pleaser because you really don't see them everywhere. It's got so much for all ages and has a very adventurous feel, which attracts kids young and old, and there is something fun for each and every one. There is also something called the Wonder Trail nearby, with signs that create fun imaginative moments.

There is a separate play area for younger children, which has smaller playing equipment. It also boasts a rubberized floor, and it can easily be accessed from the main play structure which is helpful for parents or caregivers with children of multiple ages. This playground is also surrounded by trees and therefore is one of the area's shadiest parks to seek out during the height of the summer heat. There are picnic tables in the shaded areas, so it's a great place for a picnic followed by some playtime for the kids while you finish the rest of your lunch.

It's not exactly new, as it was built in 1993, but it is still a great park with so much to offer.
