Buffalo Ridge Park in Phoenix Has a Great 27-Hole Disc Golf Course, Playground for the Kids, Ball Fields, and a1.3 Mile Summit Loop Hike. 

Head on out to Buffalo Ridge Park with friends and have a fun day playing on their 27-hole disc golf course. The course length is 6,373 feet and starts near the restrooms, looping you up over the ridge and then back down to the parking lot. The majority of the holes are between 300-400 feet, with six being under 300 and four being over 400 feet. 

The Buffalo Ridge Summit Loop hike is an approximately 1.3-mile hike with an elevation gain of 269 feet. It is labeled as easy; however, depending on the quality of the trail at the time you go, it could be closer to moderate. Always be sure to check before you start to hike up, as this trail can get difficult to follow if there were recent rains that washed away the trail area. Be sure to also have your navigation out, as even though it is short, you can easily get off-track. Once you get to the top, though, there are some beautiful views to be had (especially ones starting from a playground!). 

The playground is on the smaller side with the usual playground equipment: swings, baby swings, slides, and ladders. It has a soft, rubber padding under the playground portions and then sand surrounding everything else. 

Buffalo Ridge is a really nice local park with a few different outdoor options from other parks; the disc golf and hike really set this park apart! Just remember to bring extra water if you venture further out!
