playground

Bush Hill Elementary School playground offers a lot of room to spread out.

This colorful playground has multiple areas to play for different ages. There are a variety of slides, monkey bars ramps and covered areas for imagination games, hide and seek or a fun game of tag. There are balancing steps between play structures, so it basically establishes it as one big obstacle course, with the final ramp ending at the exit to the playground. There is also a separate play area that is suitable for very little ones as well as a fun playhouse type thing for the elementary-aged kids.

There is a very long row of swings, including two swings designed for all abilities.  There is a basketball court adjacent to the playground, and a large field for running and playing. It's a good spot to bring balls or park toys if you're going to stick around a while, though the playground alone will keep the kids happy. There are two small parking areas side by side where little ones with bikes or scooters can go round and round, or you can even use the loop where the buses pull through as it also connects to the sidewalk in front of the school building. It's a really fun place to scooter when school is not in session. Little ones can also learn on the basketball court when it isn't in use.

There are a couple of benches around the edges of the park. It's an alternative if Chessie's is too crowded, as it's almost directly at the other end of Rose Hill Road from Chessie's, just a short drive.
