Cactus Park Is a Great Place for Some Family Fun.

Located in Scottsdale, just northwest of downtown Phoenix, Cactus Park is a 17-acre neighborhood park featuring a playground, basketball court, sand volleyball court, fitness & aquatics center, picnic areas, and restrooms. The playground features two play structures, a dome climber and a climbing jungle gym. The two structures are under a large shade awning which is perfect for the summer months. The first play structure, geared towards preschool/toddler age, has several slides, steps, a tunnel, and different ways to climb. The second play structure, geared towards elementary age, has several slides, a tunnel, ways to climb, and steps. The play surface is made of sand. Next to the playground is a picnic area.

There is a nice paved walking path that goes around the large open green space. This is perfect for scooters, pushing a stroller, and young bike riders. There is, however, a lack of shade around the path, so it can get pretty hot during the summer, but it's perfect for cooler months.

The fitness and aquatics center is a great space for the community. The pool area features 23 short course lap lanes that are heated during the winter, three 1-meter diving boards, two 3-meter diving boards, public swimming (summer only), dive teams, and offering classes and lessons. The fitness center hosts a variety of aerobic, fitness, and leisure education classes, free weights, machine weights, and other machines. There are some fees to enter into the fitness center. You can find all of these on their website.

Cactus Park is a great space for getting outside with the family or enjoying the fitness center. Check this out for your next family adventure.
