Cafe Thyme is a wonderful little spot to enjoy a brunch or dinner as a family.

If you're looking for a hearty, delicious meal, Cafe Thyme is an excellent choice. We'd been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and finally had our chance. I'm so glad we did! This cozy cafe has really fresh, creative entrees to offer. It's not surprising that the masterminds behind this place work closely with local farms to bring the freshest produce to your table. And you can taste it in the food. Knowing the ingredients are truly fresh, often being sourced locally, makes me feel even better about feeding our kids here.

The menu itself is globally-inspired, so you'll definitely see worldwide cuisine offered, much of it with a comfort food twist, such as stroganoff, pot pie, or bangers and mash. They also offer plentiful Vegan and Vegetarian dishes, including a glorious Vegan Breakfast Bowl. One of their famous menu items is a scotch egg. I still remember the very first time I tasted a scotch egg. It was in St. Lucia, and it was seriously just about the most glorious food I had ever tasted...just wonderful. We enjoyed brunch here, and the apple butter pancakes and breakfast pizza were amazing. Despite the regular menu including so many unusual choices, this chef understands that kids are just simply different eaters. Accordingly, the kids' menu is really tame (while still maintaining high quality) and is a sure crowd-pleaser. I was pleased to learn they're also offering Super Bowl and regular "make and take" meal kits, plus they have a really well-organized order pick-up system during Covid.

After enjoying a lovely meal at Cafe Thyme, head over to Lake Ann Park, and bike or walk the trails or enjoy the playground.
