Cantina Taqueria is a casual, cool Mexican bar and restaurant.

I went to the Cantina Taqueria for the first time with my friend who lives just above it after listening to him rave about the food and relaxed and fun atmosphere.  It was an easy sell for me, as I love nothing more than a burrito-margarita combination, so down we went.  The sign outside of the door was glowing and steps led us underground to the cool-vibed and cozy little cantina restaurant.  A long bench lined the wall on one side of the restaurant with little tables in a row in front of it, and a bar, on the other.  The back area of the room had larger tables, which were more accommodating for larger groups or families with kids.

The room's long, narrow, open design, paired with ambiance lighting and warm dark wood, made me feel at home and relaxed while I sipped my homemade jalapeno margarita and snacked on chips and salsa.  We considered ordering the chipotle dip, guac, and salsa with chips because it had such good reviews and was supposed to be huge portions but we opted against it because we weren't super hungry.  We both ended up with burritos and were not disappointed.

The other great thing about this place is the prices were affordable.  Bottomless chips and salsa for one dollar and a filling and a delectable burrito for 13 dollars felt appropriate.  I would highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the Harlem area and are craving Mexican food and delicious drinks.
