Carrier Park has so many great amenities, like a playground, sports fields, and a stroller-friendly path!

Carrier Park is the middle link to the French Broad River Greenway and the busiest. With activities for everyone, kids (and adults!) of all ages can find something to love about this park. Paved and dirt walking/running trails circle the 32 acres making it a perfect location for a stroller-friendly jog along the river. In the center of the park surrounded by the parking lots is the Velodrome, an area for track cycling. Follow the large wooden pedestrian bridge into the center of the velodrome and you will find an amazing wooden playground, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, an inline hockey rink, and picnic tables. In the areas surrounding the velodrome, there is a large picnic pavilion complete with multiple charcoal grills, a newly renovated lawn bowling court, and also a well-maintained baseball field. There are plenty of beautiful locations to string up a hammock or throw down a blanket and have a picnic. The opportunities at Carrier are endless!

Carrier Park is conveniently located right off of 240, minutes from West Asheville and Downtown. There is always plenty of parking and restrooms can be found in the building right by the pedestrian bridge. Dogs are welcome on the trails but are not permitted inside the velodrome.
