Explore Nashville's Iconic Park with Fun for the Entire Family!

Centennial Park is situated on 132 acres only two miles from downtown Nashville via West End (also very near 440). An incredibly iconic and beautiful park, this space offers a ton to do and is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon with the kids. It’s the home of Nashville’s version of the Parthenon, which is a complete replica of the more famous one in Greece. It's quite the backdrop for an afternoon of picnicking and strolling through the grounds.

There are fantastic walking paths, making it accessible for strollers, scooters, and bikes – all of which are allowed – so it’s easy to explore the grounds, not to mention a number of places to stop, rest, and view the gardens and the birds near the centrally-located pond. Swings, slides, and playscapes to climb on are also available. Also, if your furry friends have joined you, there’s a nice dog park, for both big and small dogs on the northwest side. Centennial Park is home to numerous events, including but not limited to Shakespeare in the Park, which is typically a lot of fun.

We really enjoy biking and scootering around the central lake and stopping to look and interact with the ducks.

Parking is free anywhere and there are restaurants and shops nearby in case you need anything. While there are bathrooms on-site, they are not the cleanest.
