Belmont Area Mexican Restaurant

Chago's is a great dinner choice on a weeknight for excellent, though not super authentic Mexican food. Right across from Belmont University, the adult's drinks menu is also great – especailly for happy hour. We love the low-key and laid back vibe. I devoured the shrimp tacos ... after eating tons of chips and queso  – yum! 

 The price point is good and the staff is great – even when you have a table full of kids (to be honest, my kids started chasing each other and the staff handled it well). Not to mention, their kid's menus are found inside of popular children's books, so your kid can order and then look at the book while we you wait. Parking can be difficult during the school year when the university is in session, so be aware.
