This Children's Museum is a must-see indoor play space if you're on the Upper West Side with kids!

There are five levels, all featuring different exhibits; some permanent, some changing, and all cool!  The lower level is called "Let's Dance" and invites children of all ages to experience the joy of dancing!  The first floor is called "Art, Artists, and You" and is also for children of all ages.  It is a hybrid exhibit-studio space and encourages self-expression through art practice.

The artists on display change monthly and expose children to the diversity of art.  Check out the second floor if your child is a Dora and Diego fan!  This Nickelodeon-sponsored exhibit will help your child learn problem-solving skills and expose them to Latin American culture!  The third floor is called "PlayWorks" and is suited for infants to 4-year-olds.  Meet Alphie the talking dragon, drop into an art class, or explore the other interactive play stations that foster early-stage learning.  Several other exhibits depend on the season and other factors.  Check their website for all current exhibits!

Emily Coleman
Emily Coleman is a Jersey girl born and raised who caught the outdoor bug upon moving to Vermont to pursue a degree in Adventure Education and Environmental Studies from Green Mountain College. She spent most of her years before college deeply entrenched in the world of competitive cheerleading before discovering a passion for outdoor sports including mountain biking, white water kayaking, bikepacking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, and skiing. Having been surrounded by children her entire life in her mother's daycare, she always had a strong affinity for kids. She moved to the mountains of Jackson Hole after graduating to coach for the local Kayak Club during the summers and nanny in the winters. Becoming a part of the Happy Active Family team felt like the perfect collision of her passion for building strong community bonds and encouraging an outdoor lifestyle.

An open gymnastics gym for children.
A community-built natural space with lakes, grassy knolls, walking/biking paths, and – in the winter – snow activities too.
