Children’s Museum of the East End welcomes young children and gives them a space to grow their imaginations in a space built for their needs.

Upon entering CMEE you are greeted by Domino, a sweet rabbit, who will capture the curiosity of parents and kids alike. This distraction will offer you an opportunity to sign in, hang coats and bags in the closet provided - no need to drag these things through the museum. The entryway also has vending machines, kid-sized tables, and this is where you will also find restrooms. You are also welcome to bring your own food - tables in the front of the museum are available for families to sit and eat. If you don't bring food, plan to make time to swing by Sip 'N Soda after for some milkshakes!

Everything you find within CMEE is tailored to young kids - this includes the restrooms, where you will find a stall with child-sized toilets, changing tables, and stools for the sinks. Reservations are required and available in three-time blocks per day, and cleaning is done between each block. Time blocks allow for plenty of space for the kids to run around and masks are required for children 2 and up, as well as adults.

There is so much to explore within CMEE; a gymnasium room with mats wall to wall and a play structure to climb on. The next display offers play outfits and mirrors. Kids are encouraged to wear costumes, and can dream of being an astronaut, a policeman, fireman, or even a doctor. As you move into the larger room, there are many other displays and play areas depending on what will interest your kid(s). These include a gated play mat for those not yet walking, a farm stand, a Diner and Food Truck, a wind-powered windmill, a life-sized fire truck, a seafaring ship, a library and more!

In the warmer months, CMEE also offers outside entertainment, mini golf and play structures. Even beyond the educational displays, the CMEE offers classes and a variety of learning experiences. These can be found on the website as they change.
