Playground, skate park, and walking trails near the Chisholm Trail Community Center.
Located right next to the Chisholm Trail Community Center, this park has a playground, skate park, picnic area, soccer fields, and 2.4 miles of walking trail through the wildflowers and prairie. The playground has several sets of equipment suitable for various ages of children. It also has a large variety of climbing equipment and one swing set. The walking trail is completely paved, which is perfect for bike riding, scooters, and strollers. There are several loops and ways to go around the walking trail.
The skate park is great for skaters, scooters, and BMX riders. A variety of transitions, rails, and ledges gives riders a challenge. Everyone seemed friendly, helpful, and observant to each other while skating. This skate park has a little bit for all levels of riders.
The only downfall to this area is there is no shade, which can limit your time in the Texas heat. There is also only one porta-potty available. There are currently no lights over the skatepark either. It does look like they are expanding the skate park area, however.
Chisholm Trail Park and Skate Park is a nice park for the community, well taken care of, and worth the visit to play and skate.
