Stroll Along the Cumberland River Through a Dazzling Lights Display
Clarksville, about an hour north of Nashville, hosts an annual "Christmas on the Cumberland" which is a light display on the boardwalk of the Cumberland in MacGregor Park. It's fun to bundle up and stroll the 0.7 miles of lights (it will be around a 1.4-mile walk if you go out and back to your car). The walk is paved, so it's easy to bring strollers, etc.
The display is lit up nightly November 24, 2020 - January 1, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Sunday-Thursday and 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM Friday & Saturday
On December 12 & 19, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Santa will visit and there will be free hot chocolate.
Masks are required as you stroll, and it can get busy on weekend nights so be prepared.
MacGregor Park includes a Playground at the east end, a BCycle Station, a covered pavilion, and plenty of picnic areas.
