A park with kayaking, canoeing, a sand pit and playground!

Set on 265 acres, this is a hidden gem in Charlotte. It’s a park that has it ALL. Kayaking, canoeing, picnic shelters, and a sand volleyball court (that doubles as a big sandbox), great playground, walking/biking trails, and so much more. Kids love to dig in the “volleyball court” when it’s not in use. It’s a beautiful property that is a perfect day-outing.

What to bring:

-A picnic. You can truly make this park an all-day thing if you take your time.

-Sand toys for the little ones.

- Bikes/scooters. Plenty of room to ride freely.  Mountain bikes for the tweens/teens – so many cool trails for all levels.  There is a pump track which is a favorite for mountain biking enthusiasts.

-Water activities game plan – you’ll need this.

-Bug spray – tons of shade and water = potential for mosquitoes.
