A warm and inviting branch of Arlington's Public Library system in Virginia.
The Columbia Pike Branch Library is smaller than Central Library but has plenty of reading nooks for kids, plus stuffed animals and educational toys to keep them entertained. This branch also has a popular summer reading program for students below fifth grade. Its regular programs inspire kids to read, move, play games, create artwork and learn foreign languages.
For a bite to eat walk up and make a right on Columbia Pike, The Lost Dog Cafe has delicious pizza and sandwiches to eat in or take out. Neighborhood gem, William Jeffrey's Tavern, is less than half a mile from the library, just turn left on Columbia Pike. If you have a car, Northside Social Cafe is a short drive away. If your looking for a nice easy hike to do with the kids, drive ten minutes to Roosevelt Island. The hiking is beautiful and you're sure to see some wildlife.
