This was a delightful set of playgrounds nestled in a wooded neighborhood in Irmo, SC. It's about 30 minutes from downtown Columbia, SC and worth a trip if you have young children. There is a toddler playground and two additional "big kid" playgrounds with areas for exploration and lots of play. There were trails for walking and an outdoor amphitheater where a local gentleman had hooked up his guitar and was serenading the crowd as the sun went down. There are also picnic shelters with grills that can be rented for gatherings.
There was ample parking and this would be a great place to spend a few hours with kids.
The park is open 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily and is free for public use.
