This restaurant is enough to satisfy a hungry family who's been on the road all day.
Conrad's was actually the first restaurant we chose as we drove into Kansas City. We'd been on the road nearly all day, and both parents and kiddos were getting tired, cranky, and definitely hungry! By the time we pulled in, we were basically all focused on one thing: fueling our bodies with food.
Our kids always find it special to have their own meal off a kids menu, so that's what I ordered for them here. The prices for the whole menu were really reasonable, which is a huge plus for busy moms. If I can feel like we're treating ourselves to eating out, without spending huge money from our budget, that's actually a great feeling for me. Items on the kids' menu were an excellent value for the money. The girls chose cheeseburgers, and they were very generously-sized for kids' burgers. Portion size is definitely always a factor for me personally when our family eats out, as again it relates so much to value. If I can choose a good meal for the kids (bonus points for healthy side options), and have a bit leftover for the girls' snack later on, that's also a huge bonus for me.
The restaurant itself was clean and welcoming. I also appreciated staff and patrons wearing masks (except when eating). These things also make a notable difference for me, especially during this time. The restaurant itself had a bit of a sports bar feel, with many televisions set to sports, but it still felt very family-friendly.
The girls loved their burgers, and I would definitely order food from here again. After fueling up at this family restaurant, head to the Missouri River and enjoy some playtime at E.H. Young Park.
