Find fun activities for everyone at Deep Run Park!

Located in the far west end of Richmond, Deep Run Park is an amazing getaway right off Route 64.  From biking, walking trails, and playgrounds, to less common features like a Bike Pump Track, Cricket Field, and a fishing pond, you can easily spend an entire day wandering the over 3 miles of trails through this wooded wonderland.

Two playgrounds, gazebos, shelters, and restrooms can be found sprinkled throughout the park, anchored by a recreation center in the middle.  The Deep Run Recreation Center has rooms that can be rented for events and indoor athletic spaces for pickleball, badminton, table tennis, and basketball.  At the back of Deep Run Park, you will find three beautifully maintained soccer fields next to the two larger playgrounds.  This playground is perfect for busy kiddos who do not need as much hands-on supervision.  There is plenty for all children to climb on, swing from, and slide down!

The smaller playground closer to the park entrance is just the right size for toddlers who need a hand (or two) to help them explore all that this playground has to offer.  The smaller playground is across from the idyllic pond and is also close to one of the main trails. Ample parking is available throughout the park, although the parking lot closest to this smaller playground is more circuitous than near the larger playground, where there is a traditional flat lot.  Adventurous families can pack a picnic and head down the trail exploring until they reach a lunch spot near the other playground, a sunny spot on a field, or a picnic shelter near a restroom.  

Deep Run Park is stroller and wheelchair-friendly and boasts multiple ADA-compliant swings. Whether your crew is clocking miles on the bike trail or taking a stroll, Deep Run does not disappoint, grab your friends or family and get a dose of nature without setting up a campsite!
