The science museum in the heart of uptown Charlotte. 

This hands-on science museum can be found right in the heart of uptown Charlotte.  There are plenty of interactive exhibits, including a rainforest, aquarium, hands-on learning lab, seasonal exhibits, educational programs, and a larger-than-life IMAX theater. There are summer camps, field trips, and school camps.

With so many interactive activities, your kids are engaged while learning. Throughout the museum, you can find staff or volunteers doing experiments, and they love to get the public involved. The staff and volunteers have always been friendly and helpful. We have even had one-on-one learning experiences during slow days at the museum. The rainforest and aquarium areas are other favorites. There is something so soothing about watching fish swim in a tropical oasis. Staff or volunteers bring program animals out for hands-on interaction. 

There is a room especially for the youngest ones (under 5) with a water table, giant lite bright wall, building blocks, baby section, and more.  This is a special place for the little's in your family to learn.  Whether you spend a morning, an afternoon, or all day, there is something fun for everyone.
