A quaint experience at any time of year, but particularly during holiday seasons.

Franklin Tennessee is a charming little town just south of Nashville. It’s nationally recognized and has won awards such as “Best Small Town in Tennessee,” “America’s Most Romantic Main Street” and “One of America’s Greatest Antique Destinations.” It spans 16 blocks with shops, restaurants, and historic homes.

While your kids may not love window shopping as much as you, it’s especially fun to visit during the holiday seasons. The storefronts and streets are decorated with lights and unique displays, especially during Christmastime, when the city hosts an annual “Dickens of Christmas.” They also host a fall festival and are home to some of the best pumpkin patches. There are also kid-friendly restaurants, such as Biscuit Love, Mellow Mushroom, Frothy Monkey, and Puckett’s. After exploring the downtown area, be sure to check out Jim Warren Park or Pinkerton Park.
