Truly unique playground equipment and a zipline make this park a great destination in South Riding, Virginia.

Dunvegan Park and Playground was such a fun place to visit and blew us away! The playground equipment is all new in January 2021 and is so different from what you find at other parks! Our kids had so much fun exploring all the features and wanted to stay here a long time.

The zipline has a small platform to climb up followed by a very fast trip down and back! It is a very long zip line and was so much fun! Small children will definitely need spotting while using the zip line with the speed involved! It does not have a huge incline or drop-off except for the first leap off the platform. There is a lot of open green space around the zip line as well so kids playing in the field should make sure not to get too close to the zipline area.

The playground itself is across a walkway from the zipline and features an obstacle climbing course, three slides, very interesting spinning seats and many interactive features. A see-saw was a huge hit with our toddler! Two of the slides are very easy for small children to climb up and slide down and one tall slide is more of a challenge to climb up the ladder to slide down! No swings here but still so much to do!

There are sunshades around the playground and a picnic table under some trees but otherwise, the playground is in full sun! There are no bathrooms at the park but a Chick-Fil-A is about two minutes away!

The parking lot is at the end of Planting Field Drive and a short, stroller-friendly path brings you to the playground. The parking lot has quite a few spaces!
