After a day exploring Prospect Park, stop by Edie Jo's in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.

This newer restaurant has become a neighborhood gem for brunch and family dining. The open, modern decor and warm wooden booths seem just cozy enough on a cold night and yet bright and airy for a summer's day.

On a recent Saturday night at 6 pm, almost every table in the restaurant had children and the servers were very sweet and engaging with my daughters. And while there's no specific children's menu, there is a large selection of "small plates", "snacks", and "sides" (hello, Green Curry Popcorn for $4!) to please any child!
