El Paso Mexican Restaurant on Cooper Road near Mount Vernon is casual, friendly, and very tasty.

This casual and friendly Mexican Restaurant is very tasty. We love the Mojave Burrito, which is huge, among other items popular in our group. The kids' menu offers quite a few great options, with pictures for the preschoolers. The value is also very good.

In our experience, the restaurant is also consistently friendly and always accomodating. Children in our network often request the restaurant for lunch or dinner on special occasions, as the staff is very thoughtful and always very engaging with the kids. On multiple birthdays, they have been given a sombrero and the team sings to them. I would never expect this from any server, as it shouldn't be assumed they are comfortable singing in that way, but they do it together and always seem excited to see the joy it brings the kids. The service in general always remains consistent and attentive.

El Paso even offers brunch!  There is a parking lot and as an alternative, online ordering is available with Chow Now. They also have substantially discounted gift cards that are regularly available at Costco.  They have a catering menu available for viewing online.

The restaurant is a great stop after a visit to George Washington's Mount Vernon; your hungry kids will thank you! For something nearby that is also steeped in history, but a little more of a laid-back adventure, check out George Washington's River Farm Estate or take a short drive over to Huntley Meadows Park for some fresh air, nature and wildlife viewing.
