A delicious and reasonably priced family-friendly Mexican restaurant near the Belle Haven and Groveton neighborhoods of Alexandria.

This casual and friendly Mexican Restaurant is very tasty. We love the Mojave Burrito, which is huge, among other items popular in our group. The kids' menu offers quite a few great options, with pictures for the preschoolers. The value is also very good.

In our experience, the restaurant is also especially accomodating. On one occasion we walked in with no reservation and an unexpectedly large group of 20+ and they quickly opened a side room that they probably didn't intend to open that evening, and was likely unassigned to a server, to fit in our large group. Nonetheless, the service remained attentive throughout.

Children in our network often request the restaurant for lunch or dinner on special occasions, as the staff is very thoughtful and always very engaging with the kids. On multiple birthdays, they have been given a sombrero and the team sings to them. I would never expect this from any server, as it shouldn't be assumed they are comfortable singing in that way, but they do it together and always seem excited to see the joy it brings the kids.

There are plenty of fun things to do nearby to work up an appetite. If you're looking for an activity before or after your meal the Belle View Elementary School Playground is available during non-school hours, and Martha Washington Library and the trails at Mount Vernon District Park are both also located close by. Krispy Kreme (drive-thru), Baskin Robbins and Tropical Smoothie Cafe are also just a few minutes from the restaurant and the second two are in the direction of the library, playground and hiking trails.
